Human rights

The European Convention on Human Rights still applies after Brexit, but the European Charter of Fundamental Rights does not – and this limits the power of citizens to have legislation struck down on human rights grounds. The current government is open about its desire to repeal the Human Rights Act, and is also introducing new legislation to curb the rights of protesters and the GRT community.
