Brexit will be used as a means of recasting the UK’s place in the world, and could well be used as a pretext for degrading the aid budget and targeting development spending to meet the needs of UK business and the financial sector. We will monitor Britain’s post-Brexit defence and security policy, and the dangers posed by the situation.
